Projects and Side Quests

Today, the last day of holding down the fort until my hubs returns from a week-long vacation in San Francisco, and I decided I really needed to clean my office. It has been looking overly cluttered, papers and notes everywhere, and just generally disruptive to clear thinking.

I sifted through paperwork, cleared out things that no longer interested me, and organized my tarot and oracle decks. I moved my desk again (second time this month), and I think I like it better this way. My back isn't to the doorway, which I hate, because then I get jump-scared by my family. I also have the perfect view out - part hummingbird feeder and also the front door and gate, so I can see folks coming from that direction as well. And I'm not staring at the neighbors and their boring green grass lawn.

Win.

Win.

Win.

And as I did, I uncovered several journals that had been jostled aside, then buried beneath others.

I journal regularly. I also have special journals, like the Book of Z, which you can find on my website. These are all works in progress, usually written with the intention of them helping me flesh out a character, and a story line, that is rather nebulous in my head.

And this below, is about Bree. A teen surviving alone in an apocalyptic future. Struggling to survive - check. Lost her family - check. Some kind of mysterious monsters - check.

At some point, I'll sit down and dig in. But for now, this is all there is. Just these pages.

Side quests. Projects. There are so many of them.
