This is NOT some hastily written crap like much of the offerings from “experts” who are trying to make a quick buck. The author clearly has years of experience hosting on multiple platforms and outlines exactly what to expect when setting up your listings (I am absolutely going to have this book open as I create the listing, as there is a very helpful step by step on air bnb’s process). The book is full of detailed advice on how to tailor your listing to attract your ideal guests, how to bump your listing higher in search results, how to set your prices, and how to ensure your guests have a welcoming and comfortable stay, and more. There are even links to use the author’s budgeting spreadsheets, recommendations on products like mattresses and linens, etc. Clearly the author researched every aspect of this business before starting, and has distilled all of that effort into this book. I have to say that since I’ve been researching this venture the algorithm has relentlessly targeted me with lots of people purporting to help launch air bnbs, and they usually want hundreds of dollars for their recorded videos. It’s really refreshing to see this book being sold at a reasonable price and with no ulterior motive or “get rich quick” language (that being said, I also appreciate that the author is transparent about her revenue and shares her net income rather than the misleading gross income a lot of these influencers use). If you’re thinking of starting a short term rental do yourself a huge favor and buy this book."
