Welcome BookBub Readers!

I'm excited that you are here and hope you will take a moment to poke around a little. As you will see, I'm a bit of an omnivore - I read and write in a diverse number of genres. And even if you are a tried and true romance reader, or sci-fi enthusiast, I urge you to take a chance on another genre.

I've often heard that story is story. If you put a space ship, or an alien world in it, then you have sci-fi. Kill everyone off and it's dystopian or post-apoc. But in the end, the characters, how they feel, what they do, how the speak and the choices they make - that is what keeps a reader reading.

Click on any of my books on the home screen and read the first chapter. Get a taste for the story. If you like it, buy it. If not, no worries. Every book I write won't be for every single person.

Stick around. Page through the Book of Z. Learn Shane's origin story.

Join my newsletter and receive access to a brand-new short story every month. It might be sci-fi, romance, non-fiction how-to, you just never know! I do try and mix it up a little. If I can swing it, I base it on whatever is coming out soon.

I'm not just a writer. I'm a wife and mom of four kids born over the space of 33 years - two biologically mine, two adopted (yes, that makes them ages 34, 16, 7 and 18 months old respectively). They keep me laughing and the house full of one chaotic disaster after another.

I love old houses and currently live in my dream house (or close enough to it) which was built in 1899. I manage two short-term rentals that are adjacent to our property. Every Thursday, I shirk my family duties and shoot pool competitively in a league. When I can, I enjoy gardening. I've planted thousands of flowering bulbs, trees, shrubs and more on our near acre in the city.

You can learn more about me by clicking on the various links. Above all, I would like to remind you that writing is done in a bit of a vacuum. I don't hear much from my readers, and I would love for that to change. Talk to me. Tell me what you liked (or didn't) about the story you just read. Write a review (oh please, please write a review!) on Amazon. It's social proof. It says you read it and you didn't hate it. Tell me weird and cool things.

And please feel free to join my Facebook group General Malcontent's Grumbles and Scribbles. Yes, I'm the general malcontent. I promise I don't grumble too much. The scribbling however, is rather constant. Hope to see you there!
